The Center for Performing Arts was constructed as a convent for Incarnation Catholic Church in 1913. Well-suited to house artist's studios, dance studios, and meeting spaces, the building was converted into an arts center in 1995 by a small group of artists. Since then, it has housed performance companies, dance companies, a school for arts and research, and provided hundreds of hours of inexpensive rehearsal and audition space for local theater and dance companies.
Since its inception, the Center has provided music lessons, dance lessons, yoga and movement classes for all ages and levels.
